Baruch Shalom HaLevi Ashlag (The RABASH)

117- The Light in It Reforms Him

This means that when one engages in Torah and Mitzvot [commandments] and does not feel good, the light in it reforms him so he will feel good. That is, when he feels bad, he cannot thank the One who reforms him, so he can be thankful for being happy.
