317- Faith – 1

Tav-Shin-Dalet, 1943-1944

Faith is called “above reason,” and it is called Nukva [female] and “law.” Torah is called “within reason,” and it is called “sentence.” This is the meaning of saying in the Asher Yatzar [Who Formed] prayer, “and created in him holes over holes, hollows over hollows.”

He interpreted that “holes” means that it is Nukva and a lack that is going to be filled. This is regarded as Torah. “Hollows” means that he must remain hollow, and this is the quality of faith above reason.
