248- He Who Delights the Shabbat

“Anyone who delights the Shabbat [Sabbath] inherits unbounded inheritance.” We should understand what is Shabbat, that we should delight it. That is, is the Shabbat a subject that can receive the delights that we must give?

“Six days shall you work, and on the seventh day, it will be holiness to you.” What is the meaning of “Six days shall you work,” which implies that after the six workdays comes Shabbat, which is holiness? If there aren’t six days of work, is it impossible to have a seventh day of holiness, as in “He who did not toil on the eve of Shabbat, what will he eat on Shabbat”?
