A Short Path and a Long Path

Based on a lecture by Michael Laitman (July 24, 2007)

"Short" and "long"
Do not refer to the path itself.

The stages along the path
Are the same in both,
Yet are experienced differently.

It’s like traveling to Jerusalem.
Once people used to go up to Jerusalem
With a horse and cart,
And the journey took several days.
There were overnight stops,
Robbers along the way,
And by the time you got there you were sick and hungry.

And today
The same road is traveled in no time.
You get in the car,
And you’re in Jerusalem within 45 minutes.
