What is in this lesson?
- There is nothing in existence other than the Creator and creation.
- The Creator is also called “Light,” and the creation is also called “vessel.” The property of the Creator is the will to bestow, and the property of the creation is the will to receive.
- Creation is created in five phases:
Live, interactive Kabbalah courses are available at the Bnei Baruch Learning Center. Sign up free today.
- Behina Shoresh (Root Phase): The Creator’s intention to create the creature and bring it to perfection. This is also called “the Thought of Creation.”
- Behina Aleph (Phase 1): The Creator (Light, will to bestow) and creation (vessel, will to receive) in perfect adhesion.
- Behina Bet (Phase 2): The decision of the creature to not receive the pleasure that the Creator gives it, due to understanding that it is better to be giving like the Creator rather than receiving.
- Behina Gimel (Phase 3): The decision of the creature to receive some of the pleasure that the Creator gives it, in order to be able to give it to the Creator. This comes from the understanding that the creature cannot be a pure giver like the Creator, because it is imprinted in its nature to be a receiver.
- Behina Dalet (Phase 4): The decision of the creature to receive all the pleasure that the Creator wants to give it, due to understanding that this is what was intended for it in the beginning.
