What Is Kabbalah?

Resistance to Kabbalah

It began with Nimrod’s claims that Abraham was conspiring against the social order, continued with the burning of Kabbalists’ books and accusing the Baal Shem Tov and Ramchal with heresy in the Middle Ages, and it grew stronger with the propaganda against Rav Kook and Baal HaSulam because of their call to publish Kabbalah for everybody.

What is it that makes some people afraid of the wisdom of Kabbalah? Why have Kabbalists been persecuted over history? What is the cause of the uncompromising drive to erase the learning of the wisdom of Kabbalah?

In this section, you will find answers to questions through a collection of excerpts from Kabbalists’ words, and a series of short videos and lessons on the topic.
