It is written, \u201cAnd Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him.\u201d Also, \u201cAnd &#8230; she could no longer hide him,\u201d since until that moment, his speaking to the Creator was not known. Then it is written, \u201cMoses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>189) \u201cShe took for him an ark of bulrushes\u201d implies to the ark where the tables of the covenant were placed. The ark of bulrushes is the ark of the covenant. \u201cAnd covered it over with clay and tar,\u201d since the ark was covered from within and from without. This is the Torah, which the Creator covered with positive&nbsp;<em>Mitzvot<\/em>&nbsp;[commandments that must be done] and with negative&nbsp;<em>Mitzvot<\/em>&nbsp;[commandments to avoid doing things].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>190) \u201cAnd she put the child therein\u201d is Israel, as it is written, \u201cWhen Israel was a child, then I loved him.\u201d \u201cAnd put it in the reeds.\u201d There was no obligation to carry out the&nbsp;<em>Mitzvot<\/em>&nbsp;[commandments] of the Torah until the end [spelled the same as \u201creed\u201d in Hebrew], when Israel came to the land at the end of the forty years. \u201cBy the bank [also language in Hebrew] of the Nile\u201d means by the words of those who teach law and statutes to Israel, since the bank is like language and speech, and the Nile [<em>Ye\u2019or<\/em>] comes from the word \u201cteaching\u201d [<em>Hora\u2019a<\/em>].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>191) \u201cAnd there went a man\u201d is the Creator, of whom it is written, \u201cA man of war.\u201d \u201cOf the house of Levi\u201d is the Creator, who went from the place where upper&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>, meaning upper&nbsp;<em>Aba<\/em>, and that river, which is upper&nbsp;<em>Ima<\/em>, unite and never part. He placed the Leviathan for joy in the world, which is the Shechina, as it is written, \u201cThere is leviathan, which You have formed to sport in.\u201d \u201cAnd took a daughter of Levi\u201d is the Creator, the place where the light of the moon, which is the Shechina, shines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>192) \u201cAnd the woman conceived,\u201d meaning the Shechina, as it is written, \u201cThis shall be called Woman,\u201d and \u201cThis\u201d is the name of the Shechina. In the beginning, she was the daughter of the house of Levi, which is&nbsp;<em>Yesod<\/em>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<em>AVI<\/em>, called \u201cLeviathan.\u201d This is certainly so because&nbsp;<em>AVI<\/em>&nbsp;built the&nbsp;<em>Nukva<\/em>. Can it be that first she was a daughter of Levi and now a woman? Certainly. Before a woman is married, she is called \u201cThe daughter of so and so,\u201d after her father and mother. After she is married, a woman is named after herself. Daughter, woman, and bride are all one degree, the Shechina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>193) \u201cShe hid him three months.\u201d These are three months,&nbsp;<em>Tamuz<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Av<\/em>, and&nbsp;<em>Tevet<\/em>&nbsp;[names of Hebrew months], when there is no disclosure of the Shechina in them because of the harsh judgments that are present in the world. Before Moses came down to the world, he was above with the Shechina. This is why the Shechina bonded with him since the day he was born. Hence, the spirits of the righteous are above in the Garden of Eden before they come down to the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>194) What is, \u201cTook for him an ark of bulrushes\u201d? It means that she covered it in signs, to keep it from the fish of the sea that swim in the great sea, meaning the shells and harm-doers, as it is written, \u201cTherein are creeping things innumerable.\u201d She covered him so he would be kept from them by a precious coating of two colors\u2014white and black.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>White is clay, right, and the tar is black, left, mingled with&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;of the quality of judgment, at which time the red in it becomes black. And she placed Moses, the middle line, between them, so he will be known with them as the&nbsp;<em>Daat<\/em>, middle line, since he was destined to rise between them at another time to receive the Torah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>195) \u201cAnd the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe in the Nile.\u201d The daughter of Pharaoh comes from the left side of the harsh judgment. \u201cTo bathe in the Nile,\u201d and so it is precisely, the Nile, and not the sea, since sea implies&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;of holiness, but the Nile is the harsh judgment from the left side, which the Egyptians had made into their idolatry. And since the daughter of Pharaoh was bathing there, she, too, is from that harsh judgment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>196) It is written, \u201cYour staff with which you struck the Nile.\u201d But did Moses not strike only the sea? And why does the text call it \u201cNile,\u201d as well? and the text calls it, \u201cNile,\u201d too? Indeed, the Nile is what Aaron struck through Moses, and compare the writing as he himself did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>197) It is written, \u201cSeven days passed after the Lord struck the Nile,\u201d although Aaron was the one who struck it. However, because it came from the Creator, the writings call it, \u201cAfter the Lord had struck.\u201d Likewise, afterwards, it names it after Moses because Aaron acted by his word. \u201cWith her maidens walking alongside the Nile\u201d are the rest of the camps that come from that side of the Nile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>198) \u201cShe opened it and saw the child.\u201d It is written, \u201cSaw.\u201d Should it not have said \u201cSaw\u201d? However, there is nothing in the Torah that does not contain sublime and precious secrets. However, the record of the king and queen,&nbsp;<em>Tifferet<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, meaning&nbsp;<em>Vav<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Hey<\/em>&nbsp;was in him. This is why it is written, \u201cSaw\u201d with the added letters&nbsp;<em>Hey<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Vav<\/em>.
