Creator, as it is written, \u201cThus said the Lord, King of Israel,\u201d and as it is written, \u201cAnd there was a king in Jeshurun.\u201d \u201cAt his table\u201d means among the wings of the Cherubim, by the ark of the covenant. \u201cMy spikenard sent forth its scent,\u201d meaning it caused the Creator to depart from among them. \u201cSent forth its scent\u201d means their bad smell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>283) While the Creator was giving the Torah to Israel, it is written, \u201cAnd he was there with the Lord.\u201d While He was writing the Torah for Israel, they left their good smell and said, \u201cThese are your gods, O Israel.\u201d Also, giving means leaving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>284) \u201cWhile the king sat at his table,\u201d meaning while the Creator was coming down upon Mount Sinai to give the Torah to Israel, \u201cMy spikenard sent forth its scent,\u201d gave its good smell, as it is written that they said, \u201cWe shall do and we shall
