You Stand Here Today \u2013 1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\u201cYou stand here today all of you.\u201d This means that he gathered them\u2026 to admit them into the covenant (RASHI). \u201cAll of you\u201d means that everyone entered into the&nbsp;<em>Arvut<\/em>&nbsp;[mutual responsibility] (<em>Ohr HaChaim<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a question why he begins with plural form, \u201call of you,\u201d then shifts to singular form, \u201cevery man from Israel.\u201d It means that \u201call of you\u201d permeates everyone in Israel, meaning that every person from Israel will be included with \u201call of you,\u201d as it is written, \u201cAnd the people camped at the bottom of the mountain,\u201d as one man with one heart. In other words, when there is love of Israel, they can succeed, as it is written, \u201cEphraim is joined to idols; let him be.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Man is a small world and comprises the entire world. He should achieve the degree of being singular, as it is written, \u201cRewarded, he sentences himself and the entire world to the side of merit\u201d (<em>Kidushin<\/em>&nbsp;40b).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, when a person admits all the individuals, \u201cyour heads and your tribes,\u201d for everyone must join in the covenant, meaning to come to be a worker of the Creator \u201cwith all your heart\u2014with both your inclinations.\u201d In other words, even the lowly attributes in man should undergo correction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSo that He may establish you today as His people and He will be a God unto you.\u201d That is, a person will achieve this attainment, that he is in the singular authority.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cYou stand here today all of you.\u201d This means that he gathered them\u2026 to admit them into the covenant (RASHI).
