The Unification of\u00a0ZON"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\u201c\u2018And Judah approached him.\u2019 Rabbi Elazar started, \u2018For You are our Father, though Abraham does not know us and Israel does not recognize us; You, Lord, are our Father, our Redeemer from of old is Your name.\u2019 In the&nbsp;<em>Sulam<\/em>&nbsp;[Ladder commentary on&nbsp;<em>The Zohar<\/em>], \u2018You are our father\u2019 means&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>. It means You are our root, for&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;is called \u2018You are our root.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2018Abraham does not know us,\u2019 for although the existence of the world is in him, for he is the meaning of&nbsp;<em>Hesed<\/em>&nbsp;[mercy], as it is written, \u2018A world of mercy shall be built,\u2019 he did not entreat for us as he entreated for Ishmael, when he said, \u2018Oh that Ishmael might live before You?\u2019 \u2018And Israel does not recognize us \u2026 our Redeemer from of old is Your name.\u2019\u201d&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;is called \u201credeemer,\u201d and she is also called \u201cthe redeeming angel.\u201d This is the meaning of \u201cour Redeemer from of old is Your name.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We learned that there is no cessation between redemption and prayer, and between the hand&nbsp;<em>Tefillin<\/em>&nbsp;and the head&nbsp;<em>Tefillin<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Judah is called&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, a prayer. Joseph is called&nbsp;<em>Yesod<\/em>, who is the giver. For this reason, he is called \u201credeemer,\u201d and there is no cessation between redemption and prayer. Rather, they must be united.
