{"id":11497,"date":"2025-12-10T21:51:54","date_gmt":"2025-12-10T21:51:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.kabbalah.info\/?post_type=book&#038;p=11497"},"modified":"2025-12-10T21:51:55","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T21:51:55","slug":"you-shall-not-make-with-me","status":"publish","type":"book","link":"https:\/\/www.kabbalah.info\/en\/you-shall-not-make-with-me\/","title":{"rendered":"You Shall Not Make with Me"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>499) \u201cYe shall not make with Me gods of silver, or gods of gold,\u201d since it is written, \u201cMine is the silver and Mine is the gold.\u201d And although Mine is the silver and Mine is the gold, \u201cYou shall not make with Me,\u201d meaning of Me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>500) It is written, \u201cThere is none like You, O Lord; You are great, and great is Your name in might.\u201d \u201cYou are great,\u201d meaning \u201cMine is the silver,\u201d&nbsp;<em>Hesed<\/em>, right line. \u201cAnd great is Your name in might [<em>Gevura<\/em>],\u201d meaning \u201cAnd Mine is the gold,\u201d left line. These two colors are invisible and are not praised except when they are carved in one place, in Israel, middle line,&nbsp;<em>Tifferet<\/em>, which decides and sustains both lines. Here the colors appear so as to be praised, as it is written, \u201cIsrael, in whom I will be glorified.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>501) \u201cI will rejoice greatly in the Lord, my soul will exult in my God, for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness.\u201d Happy are Israel more than idol-worshipping nations because their joy and delight are in the Creator, as it is written, \u201cI will rejoice greatly in the Lord.\u201d Since he said, \u201cIn the Lord,\u201d why is it written, \u201cIn my God\u201d? However, if He comes to Israel with&nbsp;<em>Rachamim<\/em>&nbsp;[mercy], \u201cI will rejoice greatly in the Lord,\u201d which is mercy. If in judgment, \u201cMy soul will exult in my God,\u201d which is judgment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>502) Israel rejoice with both&nbsp;<em>Hesed<\/em>&nbsp;and judgment because they were carved in Him, in the Creator, as it is written, \u201cFor He has clothed me with garments of salvation,\u201d which are colors of&nbsp;<em>HG<\/em>, which were carved to look in Him, meaning to draw&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>, as it is written, \u201cThey looked, but there was none to save to the Lord.\u201d Thus, salvation is looking. He who wishes to look at Me will look at My colors, which are&nbsp;<em>HG<\/em>, since it is written, \u201cHe has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness.\u201d&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;is called&nbsp;<em>Tzedakah<\/em>&nbsp;[almsgiving], and the colors are engraved in her, meaning that&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>&nbsp;is extended only from&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>. \u201cAs a bridegroom puts on a diadem\u201d is the color&nbsp;<em>Hesed<\/em>, and \u201cAs a bride adorns herself with her jewels\u201d is the color&nbsp;<em>Gevura<\/em>. When the colors join in the middle line they are visible and all wish to see and to look at Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>503) \u201cI will rejoice greatly in the Lord, my soul will exult in my God.\u201d There are two joys here: In the Lord is in mercy, and \u201cMy soul will exult in my God\u201d is in judgment. They are glad in all, in both mercy and judgment, joy over joy. And the joy of Zion: the Creator is destined to delight Israel with more joy than all, as it is written, \u201cAnd the ransomed of the Lord will return and come with joyful shouting to Zion, with everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy.\u201d \u201cAnd the ransomed of the Lord\u201d is one, \u201cWill return and come with joyful shouting to Zion\u201d is two, \u201cWith everlasting joy upon their heads\u201d is three, and \u201cThey will find gladness and joy\u201d is four. These correspond to the four times that Israel scattered among the nations. Then it is written, \u201cAnd you shall say on that day, \u2018Thank the Lord, call out His name.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>499) \u201cYe shall not make with Me
