Man<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Zohar<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Beresheet Bet<\/em>, Item 81<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1) The face of man is from the&nbsp;<em>Chazeh<\/em>&nbsp;and above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2) From the&nbsp;<em>Chazeh<\/em>&nbsp;and below there is no face of man, but only three faces, which are ox, eagle, and lion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3) The souls of people are from the&nbsp;<em>Chazeh<\/em>&nbsp;and below, yet they are called \u201cthe quality of man\u201d because they ascend and are included in the \u201cface of a man\u201d from the&nbsp;<em>Chazeh<\/em>&nbsp;and above, as a stretched&nbsp;<em>Vav<\/em>. This is the meaning of \u201cYou are called \u2018man,\u2019 and not the nations of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4) Before the three faces, ox, eagle, lion, ascend to be included in the face of a man, they, too, elicit offshoots into&nbsp;<em>BYA<\/em>. These are \u201canimals,\u201d \u201cbirds,\u201d and \u201cbeasts.\u201d Afterward, they ascend and are included in the face of a man, and from all of them, the soul of&nbsp;<em>Adam HaRishon<\/em>&nbsp;was born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It follows that Adam includes all of them. Subsequently, they descended to&nbsp;<em>BYA<\/em>, and since they were included in the face of a man, they are regarded as pure kinds, although they were parted and divided into many parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5) Both remained. The collective remains, which is the meaning of \u201cthe spirit of man, which ascends upward,\u201d and also the parts, as in \u201cthe spirit of the beast, which descends downward.\u201d They were divided into their parts as they were before the ascent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6) After the sin of&nbsp;<em>Adam HaRishon<\/em>, called \u201cman without merit,\u201d meaning that he does not want to ascend but to draw from above downward, from this extend people\u2019s impure spirits, which derive from the filth of the serpent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>211.
