We Will Do and We Will Hear \u2013 1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>January 22, 1967, Bnei Brak<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe will do and we will hear.\u201d We must understand why it should be \u201cWe will do\u201d and subsequently, \u201cWe will hear.\u201d We see that a person is biased where he himself is concerned. Hence, even if he is made to understand that he is behaving inappropriately, he cannot agree because of the bribe he is receiving from himself, as it is written, \u201cBribe blinds.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Naturally, he cannot act other than his own view, since he is confident that he is following the path of truth according to how the intellect obligates him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the above, when one takes upon himself an action, he is not involved in this matter because he takes upon himself what he is told to do. At that time, he does not have the bribe to blind him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hence, he can come to a state of hearing, meaning that he will hear that the Commander is correct. This is called \u201cWe will hear,\u201d meaning that he understands Him. Hearing means understanding in the mind and in the heart, for precisely once he has no self-interest, he can understand that what the Commander is commanding him to do is right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But before he takes upon himself the action, he is still receiving bribe, and therefore thinks that the Commander is not making sense.
