Early one morning, a little bunny woke up and poked his head out of his rabbit hole. It was a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"\/<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

wonderful sunny day. He could hear the songs of birds chirping and the wind rustling in the trees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI should find something special to do on this wonderful day,\u201d the bunny thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So he crawled out of his rabbit hole and looked around. Not finding anything that interested him, the bunny was just about to go back inside when he noticed a beautiful box with a big red ribbon on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a card on top: \u201cFor Little Bunny,\u201d he read. \u201cYippee!\u201d he cheered. \u201cBut my birthday was a few months ago. This means that someone gave me a present for no reason at all!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The little bunny was very excited. He untied the red ribbon and opened the box. There were lots of interesting things inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThank you!\u201d said the bunny to whomever had given him the gift, since he was used to saying \u201cthank you\u201d whenever he received a present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But this time he didn\u2019t know where the present had come from or whom to thank, which made the bunny think about who the giver might be. He decided he should find this generous friend so he could thank him or her in person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is what I will do today!\u201d the little bunny thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"\/<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

He did not even finish looking through the box. He had a quick breakfast and set out at once on his search. The little bunny hadn\u2019t gone very far when he saw a hedgehog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHi, Hedgehog!\u201d said the little bunny cheerfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHello,\u201d replied the hedgehog sadly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhy are you so sad?\u201d asked the little bunny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ve found a lot of mushrooms, but I don\u2019t have enough needles to pin them down and carry them home,\u201d the hedgehog answered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDon\u2019t be sad, Hedgehog. Tell me, do you know who sent me a present?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, I don\u2019t know,\u201d replied the hedgehog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh well, goodbye then \u2014 and don\u2019t be sad,\u201d the bunny said hastily and rushed off. He was determined to find the kind soul that had given him a present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was hopping along a trail when just ahead of him he saw a monkey. She was holding onto a bicycle and looking at the wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHi, Monkey! What are you doing?\u201d the little bunny asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"\/<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat do you think I am doing?\u201d the monkey replied. \u201cDo you see this bike?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, I see the bike,\u201d the little bunny said. \u201cWhy are you looking at the wheel?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBecause the tire is flat,\u201d the monkey replied angrily. \u201cWhat should I do? How will I finish my bike ride?\u201d she asked looking up at the bunny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHmm, can\u2019t help you there,\u201d the little bunny said looking at the flat tire. \u201cHey, would you happen to know who sent me a present?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, I don\u2019t. Ask the owl. She knows everything!\u201d the monkey replied, looking back at the tire again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As soon as the bunny heard this, he hopped away to find the owl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHi, Owl!\u201d he shouted happily to the owl sleeping high up in a tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"\/<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWho is that?\u201d the owl replied. \u201cI can\u2019t see a thing!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s me, the little bunny!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, little bunny, I can\u2019t see you because the bright sun is blinding me. If you want me to see you, come back tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t need to see me\u201d the bunny said. \u201cI just need you to tell me who gave me a present. The monkey said that you would know.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have no idea who gave you a present! There are a lot of other things that I do know but since you have no other questions, I am going back to sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The little bunny returned home sadly. Then he remembered that he had not finished looking at all the things in the box. He decided to see what else was inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When he opened the box, he found a basket, a pump, and a pair of sunglasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWow! These things would help the Hedgehog, the Monkey, and the Owl!\u201d exclaimed the bunny. \u201cI don\u2019t need them as much as they do. I will give them my presents since they need them more!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bunny picked up the box and ran off to help his friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHedgehog, look! I brought you a basket! Now you can carry home all the mushrooms that<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"\/<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

you found,\u201d the bunny shouted with joy, helping the hedgehog put all of the mushrooms in the basket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThank you!\u201d the hedgehog cried happily, and he set out for home with a basket full of mushrooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The little bunny hopped along quickly to help the monkey.Not much had changed while he was away. The monkey was still sitting at the side of the trail, looking at the flat tire on her bike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMonkey, here\u2018s a pump. Now you can fill up your wheel with air and finish your bike ride,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"\/<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

said the little bunny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s wonderful! Thank you!\u201d the monkey said with joy, and began pumping up the wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now the little bunny had just one more present left, so he went to see the owl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOwl! Owl!\u201d the little bunny called.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWho is that?\u201d asked the owl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s me, the little bunny!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLittle bunny, you\u2019re back. Is everything all right?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, everything is great! I brought you sunglasses so that you can see me and everything else around you,\u201d the bunny replied happily and placed the glasses on the owl\u2019s nose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThank you!\u201d the owl said. \u201cNow I can see you!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou know, Owl, I never did find out who gave me that box. But whoever it was must be<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"\/<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

really wonderful to give presents without expecting a thank you. I really want to be kind and good just like this giver. This is why I thought that others should benefit from my presents.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The little bunny bounced up and down with joy. \u201cI will definitely find this great friend!\u201d he said with a determined look on his face. And with these words, the little bunny hopped home with an empty box \u2014 happier than ever!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
