Passed By Your Servant"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>November 1957<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the verse, \u201cfor you have passed by your servant,\u201d RASHI interpreted, \u201cfor this I ask of you, since you passed by me, to honor me.\u201d We should understand the words \u201cto honor me.\u201d Abraham said, \u201cAnd I am dust and ashes,\u201d and he said, \u201csince you passed by me, to honor me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We should understand that since he feared that they would not want to eat at his place because of shame, he said, \u201cto honor me,\u201d meaning by this you will honor me, namely that they would be the givers and not the receivers.
