I Was Borrowed on, and I Repay"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I heard on the eve after Shabbat, 1938<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Understand what our sages said, \u201cI was borrowed on, and I repay.\u201d It means that the purpose of making the heaven and the earth is the light of&nbsp;<em>Shabbat<\/em>[Sabbath]. This light should be disclosed to the lower ones, and this purpose appears through Torah and&nbsp;<em>Mitzvot<\/em>&nbsp;[commandments] and good deeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Gmar Tikkun<\/em>&nbsp;[end of correction] means when this light appears in full through an awakening from below, meaning preceded by Torah and&nbsp;<em>Mitzvot<\/em>. Before&nbsp;<em>Gmar Tikkun<\/em>&nbsp;there is also a discernment of&nbsp;<em>Shabbat<\/em>, called \u201cA likeness of the next world,\u201d when the light of Shabbat shines in both the individual and the public as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This light of Shabbat comes by credit, meaning without preceding exertion, though afterward, one will pay off for all the credit. In other words, afterward he will give all the labor that he should have given before he was imparted the light; he will pay later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the meaning of \u201cI was borrowed on,\u201d meaning draw the light of&nbsp;<em>Shabbat<\/em>by credit, and I will pay, from the verse, \u201cand let the hair of the woman\u2019s head go loose.\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/kabbalahmedia.info\/en\/sources\/FWrR48Bb#fn1\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a>&nbsp;It means that the Creator will reveal this light only if Israel borrow, meaning extend.
