Slander is mainly when one wants to walk on the path of truth, meaning that the thought, speech, and action will be in order to bestow. At that time, the body comes and slanders that it is not worthwhile to work on this quality. That is, it does not pay to give all his work in order to bestow. This is the question of the wicked one, who asks, \u201cWhat is this work for you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When the wicked comes with such questions, he finds himself in a bad state, which is called Metzu-Ra<\/em> [Hebrew: found bad; English: leper]. As much as he wants to overcome his complaints, to that extent he feels that he is bad. Hence, if he wants to purify himself, which is \u201cthe day of his purification,\u201d then \u201che is brought to the priest.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n In other words, if he wants to emerge from that state of \u201che is brought to the priest,\u201d it means that from above he is brought to the quality of Hesed<\/em>, which is the quality of \u201cpriest.\u201d Through this quality, he is rewarded with vessels of bestowal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is the meaning of \u201cHe who comes to purify is aided,\u201d namely by the quality of \u201cpriest.\u201d This is why everything requires an awakening from below, which brings him a desire and yearning for the matter, since it is impossible to give someone something that he does not want. Even if he receives it, he will throw it away because he has no need for it. Hence, a person must have an awakening from below so he will need the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then, according to his need, so he values the gift that he is given from above. This is the meaning of \u201cEverything that is in the power of your hand to do, that do,\u201d by which Kelim<\/em> [vessels] form within him to receive the abundance, which is called \u201cthe quality of priest,\u201d which is the light of Hesed<\/em>. And then, his only aim is to bestow upon the Creator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, before he has Kelim<\/em> that need it, he cannot appreciate the gift that he is given and therefore does not keep the gift. Hence, he might lose everything, so we must wait for man\u2019s repentance.
