Three Lines \u2013 3"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\u201cRight\u201d is regarded as the essence of the&nbsp;<em>Sefirot<\/em>, similar to seeing, hearing, smell, and speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLeft\u201d is&nbsp;<em>Masach<\/em>&nbsp;[screen] and&nbsp;<em>Aviut<\/em>&nbsp;[thickness], namely the will to receive and the&nbsp;<em>Masach<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Afterward, when the middle line comes, it determines that the seeing, hearing, smell, and speech will not shine with light of&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>, called&nbsp;<em>GAR<\/em>, but with&nbsp;<em>Hassadim<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The middle line is called&nbsp;<em>Daat<\/em>. When it decides between&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>, which are called \u201cedges,\u201d and each edge is called&nbsp;<em>GAR<\/em>, and each middle line is called&nbsp;<em>VAK<\/em>&nbsp;because it is what decides between them and what sustains the illumination of both of them, it is like a compromise between them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this reason,&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>&nbsp;illuminates&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>&nbsp;and has no need for&nbsp;<em>Hassadim<\/em>, and&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>&nbsp;illuminates&nbsp;<em>Hassadim<\/em>&nbsp;and has no need for&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>, unlike&nbsp;<em>Daat<\/em>, which extends illumination of&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>. It follows that on one hand,&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>&nbsp;is extended, but it is only illumination of&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>, which is in&nbsp;<em>Zeir Anpin<\/em>, and&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>&nbsp;receives&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>&nbsp;only in&nbsp;<em>Zeir Anpin<\/em>. It turns out that this is called \u201cdeciding,\u201d as though both are pleased with this compromise.
