\u201cWhat is the connection between Shmita<\/em> [remission every 7th<\/sup> year] and Mt. Sinai?\u201d Answer: Shmita<\/em> is called Malchut<\/em>, which should be for the sake of the Creator, meaning not to receive anything. In this regard, a question arises, \u201cIf you say, \u2018What will we eat on the seventh year,\u2019\u201d meaning if we do not want anything in return for the labor in Torah and Mitzvot<\/em> [commandments], from where will there be nourishment? It is written about this, \u201cAnd I will give you My blessing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We should ask why it is written, \u201cIf you say, \u2018What will we eat on the seventh year?\u2019\u201d if we accept the Malchut<\/em> above reason, meaning that we get no provision from this, that it sustains us, but rather everything is for the sake of the Creator. The answer is that the Creator will send the blessing. This is called a \u201cmiracle,\u201d and we do not rely on miracles, meaning that this, too, is an answer above reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By nature, if we work on sustenance, we can obtain sustenance. But if a person works on things that we are told explicitly that there is no payment for the work, from where will they take provision?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It therefore follows that one must not provide answers that come from the intellect in regard to provision, but only believe in the Creator, as it is written, \u201cAnd will command My blessing on the sixth year,\u201d which is regarded as Yesod<\/em> Tzadik<\/em> [righteous], namely a giver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other words, if you work on accepting the kingdom of heaven without reward, called \u201conly in order to bestow,\u201d this will be a unification with the Sefira<\/em> Yesod<\/em>, and Yesod<\/em> will bestow upon Malchut<\/em>. By taking upon yourselves the matter of Shmita<\/em>, meaning accepting the kingdom of heaven without demanding from the earth, meaning Malchut<\/em>, to yield fruit, by this you can be rewarded with the light of Torah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the meaning of \u201cAnd you shall observe My statutes and \u2026 you will live securely on the land.\u201d That is, dwelling on Malchut<\/em> will be secured, namely in complete wholeness.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
