A Cup of\u00a0Kiddush"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It is written in&nbsp;<em>The Zohar<\/em>, Pinhas (Item 49): The fifth correction is the cup of \u201cAnd the heaven and the earth were concluded,\u201d meaning a cup of&nbsp;<em>Kiddush<\/em>&nbsp;[lit., \u201csanctification,\u201d a blessing recited over wine to sanctify the Sabbath].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;<em>Gematria<\/em>, a \u201ccup\u201d is \u201cGod\u201d [in Hebrew] , 86. \u201cConcluded\u201d amounts to&nbsp;<em>AB<\/em>&nbsp;[in&nbsp;<em>Gematria<\/em>], and the bride, who is&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, includes them, meaning the name \u201cGod,\u201d and the name&nbsp;<em>AB<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This cup, which is&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, is full of her wine, meaning abundance, illumination of&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>&nbsp;of the Torah, which is&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, called \u201cTorah.\u201d This should testify to the work of creation, which is&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>, since abundance of illumination of&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>&nbsp;is called&nbsp;<em>Edut<\/em>&nbsp;[testimony], from the word&nbsp;<em>Eden<\/em>&nbsp;[Eden], and&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>&nbsp;is the source that gives it. This is the meaning of the need to testify to the work of creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By this he can explain that in \u201cconcluded,\u201d he can testify to the work of creation. But since testimony is only by eyesight, how can one testify by eyesight to the work of creation? After all, one can know what happened just by hearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indeed, testifying to the work of creation means testifying that the intention of creation is to do good to His creations. How does one know?
