It is written in The Zohar<\/em> (Emor<\/em>, Item 59) about the verse, \u201cWhen an ox or a sheep or a goat is born,\u201d it asks, \u201cIt does not say \u2018a calf or a lamb or a he-goat or a kid [young goat],\u2019 but rather \u2018an ox or a sheep or a goat.\u2019 It explains that what she has in the end, she has when she is born.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n That is, man is not so: What he has in the end, he does not have in the beginning because \u201cMan is born a wild ass.\u201d The reason is that a beast means that it cares only for itself and has no feeling of others. When one is born with the will to receive, he has no passion to change his ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hence, what he has in the end, he also has in the beginning. But man is not so. Although \u201cA man is born a wild ass,\u201d in the end he will achieve the degree of \u201cman,\u201d meaning with sensation of others. By this he will come to feel Godliness, which is called \u201cKnow the God of your father and serve Him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt shall remain seven days under its mother.\u201d The Zohar<\/em> interprets that it is so that that power will settle in him, which was appointed over him and will exist in him. By what will it exist in him?
