Together they watched as it gently splashed against the shore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLook, this is the mighty ocean,\u201d the mother told her son. And a little droplet named Dewy was listening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s interesting! Why did she call the ocean \u2018mighty\u2019?\u201d Dewy wondered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDo you really want to know?\u201d the ocean asked the droplet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYes, I really do!\u201d he replied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFirst you must go on a journey,\u201d the ocean said, \u201cand when you return, I will let you know the answer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ocean slammed two waves into each other, and Dewy was sent flying up into the sky, shimmering in the sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, a dark cloud came over the sky and covered the sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFinally!\u201d the cloud said. \u201cWe\u2019ve been waiting for you. Now the journey will begin.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cloud called out to the wind, and the wind carried the cloud on her shoulders farther and farther from the ocean. It wasn\u2019t easy for the strong wind to carry such a big, heavy cloud, but she carried it along until a loud burst of thunder sounded across the sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:10px\"><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kabbalah.info\/eng\/content\/view\/clean\/86895\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kabbalah.info\/var\/kbl\/storage\/images\/kabbalah\/tyqyyh_zmnyt\/english_library_work_folder\/the_baobab_that_opened_its_heart\/a_droplet\/the_baobab_that_opened_its_heart_a_droplet_drawings\/a_droplet_drawing_2\/1488403-1-eng-GB\/a_droplet_drawing_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:290px;height:auto\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:10px\"><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>\u201cHere the fields of wheat need water,\u201d the cloud boomed. Until then it had not spilled a single drop. Relieved, the wind immediately stopped and Dewy rushed toward the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>***<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While falling to the ground, the droplet was in such a hurry that he ran ahead of his friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI need to return to the ocean so he can tell me why he is called \u2018mighty,\u2019\u201d Dewy said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, suddenly, a stalk of wheat spoke to him: \u201cDroplet, would you quench my thirst, please?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am in a hurry,\u201d Dewy replied, \u201cbut if you need my help, I will stay,\u201d and he stayed with the wheat until it had ripened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThank you, droplet, you are very kind!\u201d the wheat said as Dewy left to continue on his journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>***<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dewy trickled down the wheat stalk, rolled down a slope and found himself in a stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhere are you heading?\u201d he asked the stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am heading for the fast river, which runs into the mighty ocean,\u201d the stream told him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThen we are going the same way,\u201d Dewy said happily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYes, but there is much work ahead!\u201d the stream warned him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWonderful, I love to help!\u201d Dewy replied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The stream was whooshing along happily, and the droplets were having fun racing along inside her. But soon Dewy and the other droplets discovered large rocks on their path, making it very difficult for the stream to get through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDroplets!\u201d Dewy called out. \u201cLet\u2019s clear the way.\u201d He began to work quickly with his friends, and together they paved a path for the stream to get through. When the work was done, the stream thanked him saying, \u201cYou are a very patient droplet. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>***<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soon Dewy left the stream and ran into the fast river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhere are you heading, fast river?\u201d Dewy asked her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am heading for the mighty ocean,\u201d the river answered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThen I\u2019ll go with you,\u201d Dewy said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was running along with the river when suddenly they encountered a boat. The boat was also in a hurry to get to the ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLittle droplet, I am in a big hurry,\u201d the boat said. Would you push me and make me go faster?\u201d he begged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since Dewy was also in a hurry, he knew how much the boat needed his help, and together with his fellow droplets, he carried the boat forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThank you!\u201d the boat said, speeding away. \u201cYou are a very strong droplet.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>***<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ocean was very close. Dewy could already hear his loud waves. But then a young woman called out to him from the shore: \u201cOh, droplet, can you help me take care of my little child?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCertainly!\u201d Dewy replied and he stayed with the mother and child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He took care of the child, washed him, played with him, and sang lullabies to him. The child felt very safe and comfortable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the time came to say goodbye, both the woman and her child were very thankful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThank you!\u201d they said. \u201cYou are a true friend.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>***<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Dewy did not see anyone else needing his help, he ran to greet the ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHow happy I am to see you again!\u201d the ocean exclaimed, hugging the little droplet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dewy was overjoyed. Unable to wait any longer, he asked the question that he had been so eager to know the answer to, \u201cSo why do they call you \u2018mighty\u2019?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey call me \u2018the mighty ocean\u2019 because every droplet is very kind, patient, strong, and a true friend to all living things,\u201d the ocean said proudly. \u201cI am made of many droplets that are united as one whole. Our strength lies in our unity.
