Which Is the Straight Path"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>July 20, 1974<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRabbi says, \u2018Which is the straight path that one should choose? Anyone that glorifies its Maker and glorifies Him by man\u2019\u201d (<em>Avot<\/em>, Chapter 2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The thing is that there is the matter of the correction of creation and there is the purpose of creation. The purpose of creation is to do good to His creations, and the correction of creation is equivalence of form. That is, as the Creator bestows upon His creatures, the creatures should come to a degree of bestowing upon the Creator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It therefore follows that the correction of creation is called \u201cglorifies Him by man,\u201d which is glory for man when he has corrected himself, when he achieves equivalence of form, regarded as bestowing in order to bestow, meaning when he has come to obtain the&nbsp;<em>Hesed<\/em>&nbsp;[grace\/mercy].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of creation is when a person has achieved a degree where he can receive the pleasures of doing good to His creations, called \u201creceiving in order to bestow.\u201d This is called \u201cglorifies its Maker.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other words, the beauty of the Creator is apparent when He reveals to the created beings the delight and pleasure that He wants to impart upon them, called&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>&nbsp;[wisdom] that comes to expand in&nbsp;<em>Kelim<\/em>&nbsp;[vessels] of reception of pleasure. This is why this path is regarded as comprising two things together\u2014<em>Hochma<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Hassadim<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>July 20, 1974 \u201cRabbi says, \u2018Which is the straight path that one should choose?
