The Commandment of Repentance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>The Zohar<\/em>&nbsp;(<em>Nasso<\/em>, Item 28): The&nbsp;<em>Mitzva<\/em>&nbsp;[commandment] and anyone who repents, it is as though he returned the letter&nbsp;<em>Hey<\/em>, which is&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, to the letter&nbsp;<em>Vav<\/em>, etc.&nbsp;<em>Teshuva<\/em>&nbsp;[repentance] has the letters of&nbsp;<em>Tashuv Hey<\/em>&nbsp;[the&nbsp;<em>Hey<\/em>&nbsp;will return] to the&nbsp;<em>Vav<\/em>, since when a person sins, he causes the&nbsp;<em>Hey<\/em>&nbsp;to depart from the&nbsp;<em>Vav<\/em>, and this is why the Temple was ruined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A king whose decrees are harder than Pharaoh\u2019s, and they will repent against their will, \u201cunto the Lord your God,\u201d to complete the&nbsp;<em>Hey<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Repentance, which is&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, is called \u201clife,\u201d without work and without labor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interpretation: The work and labor is to go against nature, meaning for the sake of the Creator. By this one comes to equivalence of form, and the abundance is poured out without effort because the labor was not in order to receive reward.
