He Who Said, \u201cMitzvot\u00a0Do Not Require Intention\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I heard<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Mitzvot<\/em>&nbsp;[commandments] do not require intention,\u201d and \u201cThe reward for a&nbsp;<em>Mitzva<\/em>&nbsp;[sing. of&nbsp;<em>Mitzvot<\/em>] is not in this world.\u201d This means that one who says that&nbsp;<em>Mitzvot<\/em>&nbsp;do not require intention believes that the reward for a&nbsp;<em>Mitzva<\/em>&nbsp;is not in this world. An intention is the reason and the flavor in the&nbsp;<em>Mitzva<\/em>. And this is the real reward of the&nbsp;<em>Mitzva<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If a person tastes the flavor of a\u00a0<em>Mitzva<\/em>\u00a0and understands its reasoning, no greater reward is needed. Thus, if\u00a0<em>Mitzvot<\/em>\u00a0do not require intention, the reward for a\u00a0<em>Mitzva<\/em>\u00a0is not in this world anyway, since one does not feel any taste or any reason in the <em>Mitzva<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It follows that if one is in a state where he hasn\u2019t any intention, then one is in a state that the reward for a&nbsp;<em>Mitzva<\/em>&nbsp;is not in this world.
