Only Good to Israel"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I heard from Baal HaSulam<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOnly good to Israel, God is to the pure in heart.\u201d It is known that \u201conly\u201d and \u201cjust\u201d are diminutives. This means that in every place the Torah writes \u201conly\u201d and \u201cjust,\u201d it comes to diminish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, in work matters we should interpret it as when one diminishes oneself and lowers himself. Lowering applies when one wants to be proud, meaning wants to be in&nbsp;<em>Gadlut<\/em>&nbsp;[greatness\/adulthood]. This means that he wants to understand every single thing, that his soul craves seeing and hearing in everything, but he still lowers himself and agrees to go with his eyes shut and keep Torah and&nbsp;<em>Mitzvot<\/em>&nbsp;in utter simplicity. This is \u201cgood to Israel.\u201d The word&nbsp;<em>Yashar El<\/em>&nbsp;[Israel] is the letters of&nbsp;<em>Li Rosh<\/em>&nbsp;[the head (mind) is mine].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means that he believes he has a mind of&nbsp;<em>Kedusha<\/em>&nbsp;[holiness] although he is only discerned as \u201cjust,\u201d meaning that he is in a state of diminution and lowliness. And he says about this \u201cjust\u201d that it is absolute good. Then the verse, \u201cGod is to the pure in heart\u201d comes true in him, meaning that he is awarded a pure heart. And this is the meaning of \u201cand I will take away the stony heart from your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.\u201d The heart of flesh is&nbsp;<em>Mochin de VAK<\/em>, called&nbsp;<em>Mochin<\/em>&nbsp;of clothing, which comes from the upper one.&nbsp;<em>Mochin de GAR<\/em>, however, should come from the lower one, through the scrutinies of the lower one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The issue of&nbsp;<em>VAK de Mochin<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>GAR de Mochin<\/em>&nbsp;requires explanation: There are many discernments of&nbsp;<em>VAK<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>GAR<\/em>&nbsp;in each degree. And perhaps he is referring to what he wrote in several places, that the&nbsp;<em>Katnut<\/em>, called \u201c<em>GE<\/em>&nbsp;of the lower one,\u201d rise to&nbsp;<em>MAN<\/em>&nbsp;through the&nbsp;<em>Kli<\/em>&nbsp;that raises&nbsp;<em>MAN<\/em>, called \u201c<em>AHP<\/em>&nbsp;of the upper one.\u201d It therefore follows that the upper one raises the lower one.
