Sing unto the Lord, for He Has Done Pride"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I heard on&nbsp;<em>Shevat<\/em>&nbsp;14<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the verse, \u201cSing<a href=\"https:\/\/kabbalahmedia.info\/en\/sources\/FWrR48Bb#fn1\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a>&nbsp;unto the Lord; for He has done pride,\u201d it seems that \u201cprune\u201d is like \u201c[The Lord is] my strength and song.\u201d This means that we should always prune and cut the thorns off of the Creator\u2019s vineyard. And even when one feels that one is whole, and thinks that he has already removed the thorns, the verse concludes, \u201cfor He has done pride.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means that He has seemingly created pride in this world, that man likes to be honest and true in one\u2019s own eyes. And when one feels about himself that he has already removed the thorns and he is a whole man, it is a kind of pride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rather, one should always examine one\u2019s actions, and check them with ten kinds of examinations, and not rely on one\u2019s temporary feeling, for this is only a kind of pride. It is as the verse says in the name of the righteous: \u201cYou are idle, you are idle; therefore, you say, \u2018Let us go and sacrifice to the Lord our God.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means that He said to the children of Israel, \u201cWhen you say, \u2018Let us go and sacrifice,\u2019 and you feel that you are already willing to go and sacrifice yourselves on the altar before the Lord, it is like idleness and weakness, that you no longer want to work and constantly examine yourselves, to make you ready for this great work. This is why you think that you are already perfect in this servitude, as they interpret at the end of the verse, \u2018for He has done pride.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Zamru<\/em>, in Hebrew means both sing and prune.
