Justice, Justice You Shall Pursue"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>August 14, 1964<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJustice, justice you shall pursue, that you may live and inherit the land that the Lord your God is giving you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The interpreters ask about the duplication, \u201cJustice, justice.\u201d Also, we should ask about \u201cthat you may live.\u201d If a person does not pursue justice, can he not live? Also, concerning \u201cand inherit,\u201d when the people of Israel were in their land, how was it relevant to say \u201cand inherit,\u201d in future form?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is known that \u201cfrom&nbsp;<em>Lo<\/em>&nbsp;<em>Lishma<\/em>&nbsp;[not for Her sake] we come to&nbsp;<em>Lishma<\/em>&nbsp;[for Her sake].\u201d We should ask why one does not begin one\u2019s work immediately in&nbsp;<em>Lishma<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, we should explain the matter of&nbsp;<em>Lishma<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Lo<\/em>&nbsp;<em>Lishma<\/em>.
