You Shall Not Have in Your Pocket a Big Stone"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I heard<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou shall not have in your pocket a big stone and a small stone.\u201d&nbsp;<em>Even<\/em>&nbsp;[stone] is called \u201cfaith\u201d (stones to weigh with). This is considered small, which is above reason. But at the same time, you should say that you have a \u201cbig stone,\u201d meaning that you have reason. This means that what you do is not like the rest of the world, but that you have a solid basis, which is&nbsp;<em>Gadlut<\/em>&nbsp;[greatness] and not&nbsp;<em>Katnut<\/em>&nbsp;[smallness], meaning without basis and a complete&nbsp;<em>Even<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There must be a \u201csmall stone\u201d but it must be \u201ccomplete,\u201d meaning sufficient to keep the whole of the Torah and&nbsp;<em>Mitzvot<\/em>&nbsp;based on the \u201csmall stone,\u201d and only then is it called \u201ccomplete.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if it is \u201csmall,\u201d and makes you do only small things, it is not considered \u201ca complete stone.\u201d Where is it big and where is it small? If you have a small basis, it is considered small with respect to itself. But when you have a \u201cbig stone,\u201d a large basis, you consider yourself great, meaning that you are great.
