The Written Torah and the Oral Torah \u2013 2"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I heard on&nbsp;<em>Mishpatim<\/em>&nbsp;3, February 2, 1943, Tel-Aviv<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The written Torah is considered an awakening from above, and the oral Torah is considered an awakening from below. Together, they are considered, \u201cSix years he shall work, and in the seventh he shall go out free.\u201d The matter of work pertains precisely where there is resistance, and it is called&nbsp;<em>Alma<\/em>&nbsp;[Aramaic: world] from the word&nbsp;<em>He\u2019elem<\/em>&nbsp;[Hebrew: concealment]. Then, during the concealment, there is resistance, and then there is room for work. This is the meaning of the words of our sages: \u201c6,000 years the world exists, and one destroyed,\u201d meaning that the concealment will be destroyed, and then there will be no more work.
