Male and Female"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Rabbi Yitzhak said, \u201cRabbi Ami said, \u2018A male comes to the world, his loaf comes with him,\u2019\u201d&nbsp;<em>Ze.Kar<\/em>&nbsp;[<em>Zachar<\/em>&nbsp;(male)], and it is written, \u201cAnd he prepared a great feast for them.\u201d&nbsp;<em>Nekevah<\/em>&nbsp;[female],&nbsp;<em>Nekiya Ba<\/em>&nbsp;[comes clean], until she said, \u201cI did not give her my food,\u201d and it is written, \u201cName me your wages, and I will give it\u201d (<em>Niddah<\/em>, 31b).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interpretation: Sustenance depends on the man, but the woman asks from her father or from her husband. She is clean, meaning she has nothing. Until she marries, the work of her hands belongs to her father. Once she is married, the work of her hands belongs to her husband.
