{"id":14020,"date":"2026-01-06T17:45:55","date_gmt":"2026-01-06T17:45:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.kabbalah.info\/?post_type=book&#038;p=14020"},"modified":"2026-01-06T17:45:56","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T17:45:56","slug":"joy","status":"publish","type":"book","link":"https:\/\/www.kabbalah.info\/en\/joy\/","title":{"rendered":"Joy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Serve the Lord with Gladness<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>VaYikra<\/em>&nbsp;[The Lord Called]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>109) \u201cServe the Lord with gladness.\u201d Any work that a person wishes to do for the Creator should be done with gladness, willingly, so that his work will be whole.<a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Higher Joy<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Tetzaveh<\/em>&nbsp;[Command]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>94) \u201cServe the Lord with gladness,\u201d since man\u2019s joy draws another joy, the higher one.<a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Whole Place, a Place of Joy<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>VaYechi<\/em>&nbsp;[Jacob Lived]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>116) \u201cAnd the spirit of Jacob their father revived.\u201d This means that in the beginning, his spirit was dead. He also did not intend to continue and receive another spirit, since the upper spirit is not present in an empty place. Divinity is present only in a whole place, and not in a deficient place, or a flawed place, or a place of sadness, but in a proper place\u2014a place of joy. For this reason, all those years when Joseph was separated from his father and Jacob was sad, Divinity was not on him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>117) \u201cServe the Lord with gladness; come before Him with singing.\u201d There is no service of the Creator unless out of joy. Divinity is not present in sadness, as it is written, \u201c\u2018And now bring me a player.\u2019 And it came to pass that when the player played.\u201d It writes \u201cPlay\u201d three times, to evoke the spirit from the source of wholeness,&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, which includes three lines, which is the complete spirit. The threefold \u201cplay\u201d corresponds to his three lines.<a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Reason for the Joy of the Heart<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>VaEra<\/em>&nbsp;[And I Appeared]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>139) \u201cGo then, eat your bread in happiness\u201d means that when a person goes in the ways of the Creator, the Creator brings him closer and gives him peace and tranquility. Then the bread and wine that you eat and drink are with joy of the heart because the Creator is pleased with his deeds.<a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Reward of One Who Delights the Creator<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pinhas<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2) Anyone who engages in Torah in this world is rewarded with several gates being opened to him, several lights to that world. Hence, when he passes away from this world, the Torah walks before him and goes to all the gate-keepers, declares and says, \u201cOpen the gates and let the gentile righteous in, set up a chair for so and so, the King\u2019s servant,\u201d for there is no joy to the Creator except in one who engages in the Torah.<a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The King Has Brought Me to His Chambers<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Aharei Mot<\/em>&nbsp;[After the Death]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>50) \u201cThe king has brought me to his chambers.\u201d If the King brings me to His chambers, \u201cWe will rejoice in you and be glad,\u201d Me and all My hosts. All the hosts, when the Assembly of Israel is glad and blessed, everyone is glad. At that time there is no&nbsp;<em>Din<\/em>&nbsp;[judgment] in the world.
