An explanation to what is written in several places, that anyone who receives, receives first in the Sefira<\/em> Keter<\/em>, and only the quality of Nefesh<\/em>. When he corrects the Kli<\/em> [vessel] of Hochma<\/em>, he is rewarded with Ruach<\/em> in the Kli<\/em> of Keter<\/em> and the Nefesh<\/em> descends to the Kli<\/em> of Hochma<\/em>, and so forth, likewise. This is so because it is easier to correct the finer Kli<\/em>, and subsequently the thicker quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can understand this through a depiction. The finer Kelim<\/em> [vessels] are regarded as the time when a person wears a Talit<\/em> [prayer shawl] and Tefillin<\/em> [phylacteries], and reads the Shema<\/em> reading. Clearly, at that time it is easier for him to correct himself. At such a time we can say that he will be rewarded with Nefesh<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afterward, when he learns Torah, he also has the strength to correct himself. On the path of correction, it follows that then he obtains the quality of Nefesh<\/em>, too, but evidently, one who is fine during the learning is certainly more excited during the Shema<\/em> reading. It follows that at that time, the quality of Ruach<\/em> shines for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One who can correct himself while eating and drinking, too, the Nefesh<\/em> shines in him, as well. During the learning, a greater illumination shines for him, the quality of Ruach<\/em>, and during the Shema<\/em> reading he has the quality of Neshama<\/em>. If his thought is in Dvekut<\/em> [adhesion] while he is speaking to people, he obtains the quality of Nefesh<\/em>. Certainly, when he engages in matters of Mitzva<\/em> [commandment], greater illuminations shine for him, as in the above manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If he is in Dvekut<\/em> when he engages in commerce or during his work, as well, he obtains the quality of Nefesh<\/em>. However, for such a person, during the Shema<\/em> reading, the quality of Yechida<\/em> shines for him, meaning that the illumination of Yechida<\/em> causes him the quality of Nefesh<\/em> in simplest things. It follows that he always receives the greater illumination into the quality of Keter<\/em>, which is the finest Kli<\/em>, and the thicker Kelim<\/em> he corrects, the more his illumination grows.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
