One day he was standing in this place and was saying this: \u2018Pinhas, son of Elazar, son of Aaron the priest.\u2019\u201d Pinhas is written with a small&nbsp;<em>Yod<\/em>. Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>129) It is because there are two alphabets. There is an alphabet of big letters, and there is an alphabet of small letters. The big letters are in the next world,&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>. The small letters are in this world,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>. This is why a small&nbsp;<em>Yod<\/em>&nbsp;is a token of the holy covenant,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>. Because Pinhas was jealous for this covenant, a small&nbsp;<em>Yod<\/em>&nbsp;was added to it, that covenant,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>130) At that time, the Creator said, \u201cWhat should I do with Moses?\u201d This covenant is from Moses. And the bride,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, is his. It is inappropriate to give her,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, to another, without Moses\u2019 awareness and consent. He said to Moses: \u201cMoses, Pinhas, son of Elazar, son of Aaron the priest.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moses said to Him: \u201cLord of the world, what is He?\u201d The Creator said to him, \u201cYou have given up your soul for Israel several times so they would not be eradicated from the world, and he, Pinhas, subsided my wrath at Israel.\u201d Moses said, \u201cWhat is it You want from me, for everything is Yours? If you want to install&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;on him, who will tell You what to do?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>131) The Creator said to Moses: \u201cEverything is yours. Tell Pinhas that My&nbsp;<em>Shechina<\/em>&nbsp;will be inside of him.\u201d Moses said, \u201c<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;will be in him wholeheartedly.\u201d The Creator said, \u201cYou will say it with your mouth and you will raise your voice, that you are giving him the&nbsp;<em>Shechina<\/em>&nbsp;willingly, wholeheartedly, as it is written, \u2018Therefore say,\u2019 willingly, \u2018Behold, I give him My covenant of peace.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moses would say, \u201cBehold, I give him My covenant of peace.\u201d If it related to the Creator, he should have said, \u201cTherefore say to him, \u2018Behold, I give him My covenant of peace.\u2019\u201d But this is not written, but rather, \u201cTherefore, say,\u201d and it is not written, \u201cto him.\u201d This means that the command was for Moses to say it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is not that the&nbsp;<em>Shechina<\/em>&nbsp;moved from Moses and was given to Pinhas. Rather, it is like a candle from which to light: one gives and delights, and the other does not become deficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>132) They heard a voice saying, \u201cMake room for Rabbi Pinhas, son of Yair, who is with you.\u201d In any place where the righteous renewed words of Torah, when he is in this world, he visits this place and comes to it. It is even more so when other righteous are in it, to renew in that place and say words of Torah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, Rabbi Pinhas son of Yair came to visit his place and found those righteous renewing words of Torah, and that thing was renewed as before, before Rabbi Pinhas son of Yair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>133) Rabbi Aba said, \u201cThat thing of Rabbi Pinhas son of Yair is good, for it is not written, \u2018Therefore behold, I am giving.\u2019 Rather, it is written, \u2018Therefore say, \u2018Behold, I am giving him.\u2019\u2019 This means that He commanded Moses to tell him. But was this matter concealed by you from that pious one and you did not speak until now?
