Write Them on the Tablet of Your Heart"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Raba said, \u201cAlthough his forefathers bequeathed him a book of Torah, it is a&nbsp;<em>Mitzva<\/em>&nbsp;[commandment] to write his own, as was said, \u2018And you, write this song for yourselves\u2019\u201d (Sanhedrin 21b).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indeed, we should ask: If his forefathers bequeathed him a book of Torah, why should he write another book of Torah?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We should understand this in ethics. The verse says, \u201cWrite them on the tablet of your heart.\u201d But why must we write on the heart?
