It is great in its&nbsp;<em>Dinim<\/em>, left, and great in its merits, right. When the left of&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>&nbsp;is included in the right,&nbsp;<em>Hesed<\/em>, they are both called \u201cgreat,\u201d as it is written, in the&nbsp;<em>Mitzva<\/em>, \u201cYou shall surely set a king over you.\u201d \u201cSet\u201d means above, in&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>, and \u201cSet\u201d below, in&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>. This is how he should assume the great court from the side of&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>, although he already assumed the small court from the side of&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>. The small court is a court of three, from the side of lower Divinity,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>. The great court is made of those: the great Sanhedrin of seventy-two\u2014seventy Sanhedrin and two authors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>22) Rabbi Shimon said to Moses, \u201cThere were seventy in the great Sanhedrin, and you were the greatest, as it is written, \u201cLet it be that every major dispute they will bring to you, but every minor dispute they themselves will judge.\u201d These are the great Sanhedrin and the small Sanhedrin, of which it was said, \u201cThe great thing and the small thing.\u201d The great Sanhedrin are from the side of upper Divinity,&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>. The small Sanhedrin are from the side of the lower Divinity,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>23) Moses is the King\u2019s (<em>ZA\u2019s<\/em>) best man. Aaron is the queen\u2019s best man. And with them are the seventy-two Sanhedrin\u2014seventy Sanhedrin over which there are Moses and Aaron, which are as the number&nbsp;<em>Hesed<\/em>, which is seventy-two in&nbsp;<em>Gematria<\/em>. This is why they are called \u201cthe great Sanhedrin,\u201d since&nbsp;<em>Hesed<\/em>&nbsp;is called \u201cgreat.\u201d The small Sanhedrin are from the left,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;that is built from the left. It is written about her, the small light for the governance of the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>24) For this reason,&nbsp;<em>Tifferet<\/em>, which is called \u201cThe greater light to govern the day,\u201d as it is written, \u201cBy day the Lord will command His grace.\u201d And since He is&nbsp;<em>Hesed<\/em>&nbsp;[grace\/mercy], He is called \u201cThe great light.\u201d \u201cThe lesser light to govern the night,\u201d as it is written, \u201cAnd in the night His song shall be with me.\u201d This is the song of the Levites,&nbsp;<em>Yesod<\/em>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, as it is written, \u201cThe son of Yishai [Jesse] lives on the earth,\u201d where lives [Heb:&nbsp;<em>Het<\/em>&#8211;<em>Yod<\/em>] is&nbsp;<em>Yesod<\/em>, and the earth is&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>. He established ten kinds of singing in Psalms, and he is a righteous on the left,&nbsp;<em>Yesod<\/em>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, and the left, the small light, Divinity, which was taken from the left, since Divinity was built from the left line of&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>&nbsp;in the first state.
