There are others, authors of the secrets of the Torah, virtuous, who inherit souls from the side of the holy Malchut of Atzilut, which incorporates ten Sefirot. One who inherits her and merits her is rewarded with ten Sefirot without separation, ten and not nine, since if they were to inherit only Malchut, the nine Sefirot would be separated from her. And since there is no separation in Atzilut, the author of the Book of Creation said, “Ten and not nine,” that the top nine Sefirot are never separated from her.

35. Is it possible that Malchut ascends above the ten and she is there alone? The explicit name Yod-He-Vav-He, in which there are ten letters [in Hebrew], is the ten Sefirot of ZA, Yod that unites with Malchut, and she does not rise above the ten of ZA, as she does not separate from him. For this reason, the Book of Creation says “ten and not eleven.” However, one who connects the Yod, which is the letter of the covenant, Yesod, with a handmaid, or connects the queen, Malchut, who consist of ten, with a demon of idol-worship, Sam, is judged in Hell.

36. One who inherits the king’s daughter, is not rewarded with her unless he is a king’s son, who is called “My son, My firstborn, Israel,” where from that side, Israel are called “children of the Creator,” as it is written, “You are the children of the Lord your God.” This is Malchut of Atzilut.

37. Opposite her, there is Malchut of Beria, Malchut to the angels in Beria, the maidservant of Malchut of Atzilut, who serves her. She is in the form of her mistress in Atzilut, comprised of ten Sefirot. Due to the iniquities of Israel, that Malchut of Beria can be defiled among the nations of the world. But as for Malchut of Atzilut of the Creator, it is written about her, “I am the Lord; this is My name, and I will not give My glory to another, or My praise to carved images.”

The Creator does not give her to one who desecrates Shabbats [Sabbaths] and good days, but to one who is the son of a king and observes Torah and commandments with love and fear of his master, and not in order to receive reward, but as a son who is committed to doing his father’s command, for it is written about it, “Honor your father and your mother.” “Your father,” the Creator, and “your mother,” the Shechina. Nevertheless, one who desecrates the king’s maidservant, Malchut of Beria, it is regarded for him as if he desecrated his queen.

38. Not all demons and servants of the Shechina are equal, for it is written about the Shechina, “And His kingdom rules over all.” She has several Hebrew maidens, Malchuts of Beria, and Hebrew maidservants, Malchuts of Assiya. She also has foreign slaves and maidservants, of the Sitra Achra, who serve her so that no other Malchut is present in the world when she governs. Hence, the Sitra Achra, too, is subordinate to her at that time and does her wish.

34.
