Eat, friends; drink, drink abundantly, O beloved.” In this verse, its beginning is not its end and its end is not its beginning. It is written, “I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk.” Afterwards it writes, “Eat, friends.” One invites another to eat when the food is spread before him, but how can he invite another to eat after he has already eaten? And here it writes, “I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk,” meaning he has already eaten.

27) However, happy are Israel, whom the Creator wishes to cleanse and whom He has chosen of all the peoples. Once He has chosen them, He wished to remove them from all the slanderers in the world. On the day when the tabernacle was built below, another tabernacle was established with it, above.
