Strife means a flaw, \u201cAnd a slanderer separates the champion\u201d means that he separates the champion of the world, the Creator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>270) \u201cA perverse man spreads strife\u201d means that he sends strife to those plantations,&nbsp;<em>ZON<\/em>, which causes them to be nourished from the side of&nbsp;<em>Din<\/em>, the left of&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>. Strife implies&nbsp;<em>Din<\/em>, \u201cAnd a slanderer separates the champion\u201d are the wicked ones that inflict a flaw above. He separates because there is no unification between&nbsp;<em>ZON<\/em>, for he separates the queen from the King. For this reason, he is not regarded as one, meaning&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;are not in unity. Woe unto those wicked who cause separation above, and happy are the righteous who keep the sustenance above, the unification of&nbsp;<em>ZON<\/em>, and happy are those who repent, for they restore everything to its place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>271) For this reason, in a place where they who repent dwell, complete righteous do not dwell. Rather, they who repent are established in a high place, the place of the watering of the garden,&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>, who waters the garden, which is&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>. This is the repentance that brings&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;back to&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>, and this is why they are called \u201cthey who repent\u201d [Hebrew: return]. And the complete righteous are corrected elsewhere, for they are called&nbsp;<em>Tzadik<\/em>&nbsp;[righteous], which is&nbsp;<em>Yesod<\/em>&nbsp;<em>de<\/em>&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>272) Hence, they who repent dwell in a high place,&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>, and the complete righteous dwell in a small place\u2014<em>Yesod<\/em>&nbsp;<em>de<\/em>&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>\u2014since they who repent bring back the water, the abundance, from the high place of the deep river,&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>, to the place called&nbsp;<em>Tzadik<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Yesod<\/em>&nbsp;<em>de<\/em>&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>. And complete righteous extend the abundance from their dwelling place\u2014<em>Yesod<\/em>&nbsp;<em>de<\/em>&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>\u2014to this world. This is why they who repent are superior and the complete righteous are below. Happy are they who repent, for they extend the abundance from&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<em>Yesod<\/em>&nbsp;<em>de<\/em>&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, and happy are the righteous, since the world exists for them, for they extend the abundance from&nbsp;<em>Yesod<\/em>&nbsp;<em>de<\/em>&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>&nbsp;to this world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>273) \u201cThen it shall be, if he has sinned and is guilty.\u201d It is also written, \u201cOr has found what was lost and lied about it.\u201d The sinner makes a flaw above, hence the Creator departs from everything. It is as though the Creator is nonexistent because the assembly of Israel,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, was separated from her place, as it is written, \u201cFaith has been lost.\u201d Faith is the assembly of Israel, as it is written, \u201cYour faith in the nights,\u201d where night is&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFaith has been lost,\u201d as in, \u201cWhy is the land ruined?\u201d It is all one, since&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;is called \u201cfaith\u201d and she is called \u201cland.\u201d And we already said that when it writes that she is lost, it means that&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;has lost her mate,&nbsp;<em>Yesod<\/em>. It does not say, \u201cIs being lost\u201d or \u201clost,\u201d which would mean that she herself has been lost.
