There is a big&nbsp;<em>Ayin<\/em>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<em>Shema<\/em>&nbsp;[hear], and the&nbsp;<em>Dalet<\/em>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<em>Ehad<\/em>&nbsp;[one] is also big. It is a sign of a witness, as it is written, \u201cThe witness of the Lord is in you.\u201d The letters&nbsp;<em>Shin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;from the word&nbsp;<em>Shema<\/em>&nbsp;remain. The&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;is open. The difference between an open&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;[<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"blob:https:\/\/staging.kabbalah.info\/e0b7ed71-6899-454c-b7c1-29e25f98595f\" alt=\"Mem (Regular)\">] and a blocked&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;[<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"blob:https:\/\/staging.kabbalah.info\/91484f6f-e3f5-4083-bef5-1e482823a728\" alt=\"Mem Sofit\">] is that the blocked&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;is the upper king,&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>. The open&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;implies the lower king,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>.&nbsp;<em>Shin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<em>Shema<\/em>&nbsp;implies&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, and the other letters from the word&nbsp;<em>Ehad<\/em>&nbsp;remain&nbsp;<em>Aleph<\/em>&#8211;<em>Het<\/em>, as it is written, \u201cIt is the glory of God to conceal a matter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two states in&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When she is as big as\u00a0<em>ZA<\/em>, she clothes the left line of\u00a0<em>Bina<\/em>, and then she is a blocked\u00a0<em>Mem<\/em>, like\u00a0<em>Bina<\/em>, whose lights have been blocked. In that state\u00a0<em>ZA<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Malchut<\/em>\u00a0are called \u201cbrother and sister,\u201d for then both are\u00a0<em>Bina<\/em>\u2019s children, since\u00a0<em>ZA<\/em>\u00a0dresses the right line\u00a0<em>de<\/em>\u00a0<em>Bina<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>Malchut<\/em>\u00a0is the left line of\u00a0<em>Bina<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once she has been diminished to from-the-<em>Chazeh-de<\/em>&#8211;<em>ZA<\/em>-and-below, descending below the degree of\u00a0<em>ZA<\/em>\u00a0and becoming the wife of\u00a0<em>ZA<\/em>, receiving from\u00a0<em>ZA<\/em>. However, her lights have been opened and she illuminates to the lower ones in the full wholeness. At that time she is called an \u201copen\u00a0<em>Mem<\/em>,\u201d as she has been opened from her blockage.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>In two words\u2014<em>Shema<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Ehad<\/em>\u2014there are three combinations,&nbsp;<em>Shin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Mem<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Ayin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Dalet<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Aleph<\/em>&#8211;<em>Het<\/em>.&nbsp;<em>Shin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;is the&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, called \u201cname.\u201d&nbsp;<em>Ayin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Dalet<\/em>&nbsp;[pronounced as&nbsp;<em>Ed<\/em>&nbsp;(witness)] is&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, as it is written, \u201cThe witness of the Lord.\u201d&nbsp;<em>Aleph<\/em>&#8211;<em>Het<\/em>&nbsp;[pronounced as&nbsp;<em>Ach<\/em>&nbsp;(brother)],&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, as it is written, \u201cOpen to me, my sister.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The difference between witness and brother is that a witness is when&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>&nbsp;gives to&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;disclosed&nbsp;<em>Mochin<\/em>&nbsp;from the upper Eden. A brother is when&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>&nbsp;is in&nbsp;<em>Achoraim<\/em>&nbsp;with&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, in the first state, at which time&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;are regarded as brother and sister. This is why a big&nbsp;<em>Ayin<\/em>&nbsp;[<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"blob:https:\/\/staging.kabbalah.info\/f0f2e717-f460-40c4-b1b9-56015ef6d9a6\" alt=\"Ayin\">] is written in&nbsp;<em>Shema<\/em>, and the&nbsp;<em>Dalet<\/em>&nbsp;[<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"blob:https:\/\/staging.kabbalah.info\/89d4453e-877b-47df-b4cf-0ac8b9aea36f\" alt=\"Dalet\">] of&nbsp;<em>Ehad<\/em>&nbsp;is also big. It indicates disclosed&nbsp;<em>Mochin de<\/em>&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, at which time&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>&nbsp;is called \u201cThe witness of the Lord,\u201d as it is written, \u201cThe witness of the Lord is in you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The letters&nbsp;<em>Shin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;from the word&nbsp;<em>Shema<\/em>&nbsp;remain. The open&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;indicates&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;in the second state, whose lights have already been opened, since she receives the great&nbsp;<em>Mochin<\/em>&nbsp;<em>de<\/em>&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, called \u201cwitness,\u201d in a manner that the two combinations,&nbsp;<em>Shin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;<em>Ayin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Dalet<\/em>, indicate&nbsp;<em>Zivug<\/em>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;in the second state, when&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;is an open&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The difference between an open&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;that is not blocked, and a blocked&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>, is that the blocked&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;is the upper king,&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>.&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;is called \u201cblocked&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>\u201d when she dresses&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>&nbsp;in the first state. An open&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;implies the lower king,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>. When&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;is herself, under&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, she is called an \u201copen&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>.\u201d And because here she receives from the abundance of&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>&nbsp;as a witness, she is certainly an open&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The combination,&nbsp;<em>Aleph<\/em>&#8211;<em>Het<\/em>&nbsp;indicates the degree of&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>&nbsp;in the first state of&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, which now, in the second state, remain inactive. The other letters from the word&nbsp;<em>Ehad<\/em>&nbsp;remain&nbsp;<em>Aleph<\/em>&#8211;<em>Het<\/em>. That is, they remain inactive because now&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;has already been diminished and has been concealed from being the sister of&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, as it is written, \u201cIt is the glory of God to conceal a matter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although in the first state,&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;were the two great lights, brother and sister, it was still not to&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>\u2019s glory, since her lights were blocked. But now, in the second state, although she has been diminished and concealed from her great degree, because of it her lights in the&nbsp;<em>Zivug<\/em>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<em>Shin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;<em>Ayin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Dalet<\/em>&nbsp;have been opened, and she imparts upon all the worlds, and this is the glory of God. All of it came out because of the concealment of a matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>454) One who unites that unification each day, joy from above is geared up for him from the letters&nbsp;<em>Shin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<em>Shema<\/em>, from the beginning of the verse, and from the letters&nbsp;<em>Aleph<\/em>&#8211;<em>Het<\/em>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<em>Ehad<\/em>, from the end of the verse. He connects the letters and begins to connect in reverse order: the&nbsp;<em>Aleph<\/em>&nbsp;from&nbsp;<em>Aleph<\/em>&#8211;<em>Het<\/em>&nbsp;at the end of the verse before the&nbsp;<em>Shin<\/em>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<em>Shin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;at the beginning of the verse. He completes in order: first the&nbsp;<em>Mem<\/em>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<em>Shema<\/em>, and then the&nbsp;<em>Het<\/em>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<em>Ehad<\/em>. The sign,&nbsp;<em>Aleph<\/em>&#8211;<em>Shin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Mem<\/em>&#8211;<em>Het<\/em>, connects the combination&nbsp;<em>Esmach<\/em>&nbsp;[I will delight], as it is written, \u201cI will delight in the Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is in the holy unification, implied in the letters&nbsp;<em>Ed<\/em>&nbsp;[<em>Ayin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Dalet<\/em>], since in&nbsp;<em>Shema Ehad<\/em>&nbsp;there is the combination&nbsp;<em>Esmach Ed<\/em>. One who unites this unification each day, joy is geared up for him from above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>455) One should intend in the word,&nbsp;<em>Shema<\/em>, in which there are&nbsp;<em>Shin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Mem<\/em>, included with a big&nbsp;<em>Ayin<\/em>. They are the&nbsp;<em>Ayin<\/em>&nbsp;(70) names of the holy patriarchs,&nbsp;<em>Ayin<\/em>&#8211;<em>Bet<\/em>&nbsp;(72) names in&nbsp;<em>HGT<\/em>, called \u201cpatriarchs,\u201d which are essentially seventy names, seventy Sanhedrin, and two witnesses. This is&nbsp;<em>Shema<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Shem<\/em>&nbsp;[name]&nbsp;<em>Ayin<\/em>. A \u201cName\u201d means&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, comprising seventy names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIsrael, the Lord our God, the Lord,\u201d are four boxes in the&nbsp;<em>Tefillin<\/em>, four&nbsp;<em>Mochin<\/em>:&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>, the right of&nbsp;<em>Daat<\/em>, and the left of&nbsp;<em>Daat<\/em>. The&nbsp;<em>Aleph<\/em>&#8211;<em>Het<\/em>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<em>Ehad<\/em>&nbsp;grips them, which said, \u201cOpen for me my sister, my wife,\u201d and he is&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>. The&nbsp;<em>Dalet<\/em>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<em>Ehad<\/em>&nbsp;is the knot of the head&nbsp;<em>Tefillin<\/em>, in the shape of a&nbsp;<em>Dalet<\/em>, to which&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;grips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The secret was given to sages so as to not disclose it. Rabbi Shimon was silent. He wept and laughed.
