That is, they were rewarded with \u201cI and not a messenger.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baal HaSulam said that before the redemption they thought that there are messengers, so redemption means that they were rewarded with \u201cI and not a messenger,\u201d that there is none else besides Him.
