The Ninth of\u00a0Av"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Shabbat [Sabbath] after the 9<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<em>Av<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our sages said about the verse, \u201cAnd the whole congregation raised their voice and wept.\u201d \u201cRabah said, \u2018Rabbi Yochanan said, \u2018That day was the night of the ninth of&nbsp;<em>Av<\/em>.\u2019\u2019 The Creator said, \u2018They cried for nothing, and I will establish for them a cry for generations\u2019\u201d (<em>Sotah<\/em>&nbsp;35).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We should understand the connection between the spies and the ruin of the Temple.
