105) The act below awakens an act above. If the act below is in holiness, holiness awakens above and comes and stays on a person, and he is sanctified in it. If he defiles himself below, the spirit of impurity awakens from above and comes and stays over him, and he is defiled in it. It depends on one\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
106) There is no good or bad, holy or unholy that does not have its essence and root above. By the act below, the act above awakens, and what depends on the act awakens above and a deed is done. And that which depends on speech is in speech because when speech is sentenced below, so it awakens above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
107) What is a speech that awakens above? It is written, \u201cAnd speak a thing.\u201d speech evokes another speech, above, which is called \u201ca thing,\u201d the Malchut<\/em>, as it is written, \u201cThe word of the Lord which was,\u201d and as it is written, \u201cAnd the word of the Lord was precious.\u201d It is also written, \u201cBy the word of the Lord the heavens were made.\u201d All those imply to Malchut<\/em>, which is called \u201cthing,\u201d since man\u2019s speech rises and breaks through the firmaments until it rises to its place and evokes either good\u2014and then it is good\u2014or bad\u2014and then it is bad. In other words, either he evokes the Malchut<\/em> of Kedusha<\/em> [holiness] to affect him, or he evokes the Malchut<\/em> of Tuma\u2019a<\/em> [impurity] to affect him. This is why it is written, \u201cKeep yourself from every evil thing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n It follows that both the act and the speech that one does and speaks below, if they are Mitzvot<\/em>, he draws Kedusha<\/em> from above, from Malchut<\/em>. And if they are sins, he draws Tuma\u2019a<\/em> from above.
