{"id":15042,"date":"2026-01-13T21:28:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-13T21:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.kabbalah.info\/?post_type=book&#038;p=15042"},"modified":"2026-01-13T21:28:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-13T21:28:11","slug":"written-torah-and-oral-torah","status":"publish","type":"book","link":"https:\/\/www.kabbalah.info\/en\/written-torah-and-oral-torah\/","title":{"rendered":"Written Torah and Oral Torah"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>93) \u201cNow the Lord said to Moses, \u2018Come up to Me on the mountain and remain there, and I will give you the stone tablets with the law and the commandment which I have written for their instruction.\u2019\u201d The law is the written Torah, which is&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, and the commandment is the oral Torah,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>. \u201cFor their instruction\u201d is written without a&nbsp;<em>Vav<\/em>&nbsp;[in Hebrew]. Whose instruction? If it is to instruct Israel, which are&nbsp;<em>ZON<\/em>, whose children are Israel, as it is written, \u201cYou are the children of the Lord your God,\u201d it is not so, for Israel are not mentioned in this verse, to be said about them, \u201cfor their instruction.\u201d Rather, \u201cfor their instruction\u201d concerns the law and the commandment, which is the kept wine,&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>, the mother of&nbsp;<em>ZON<\/em>, called law and commandment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is so because every writing of the upper book, which is&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>, called, \u201cthe upper book,\u201d is there in&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>. The upper book is&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>; it is concealed and the beginning of its disclosure, considered writing, is in&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>. And the written law emerges from there, from&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>, which is&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>. This is why we call&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, \u201cthe written Torah,\u201d since&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>&nbsp;was emanated and emerged from the writing, which is&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>. This is the meaning of, \u201cfor their instruction,\u201d certainly to instruct them,&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>, which are book and writing, being the instructions of&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>94) The oral Torah,&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>, is a different law, which stands and exists orally, which is&nbsp;<em>Daat<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, which determines between&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>, being the mouth of book and writing, which is&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>. This is so because&nbsp;<em>Daat<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, determines and reveals the&nbsp;<em>Hochma<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Bina<\/em>, which are book and writing. It is like the mouth of a person, which reveals what is hidden in one\u2019s thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And this law is a different law than the written Torah. It is called \u201coral Torah,\u201d and it stands and exists on that mouth, called, \u201cwritten Torah,\u201d which is&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, since&nbsp;<em>Malchut<\/em>&nbsp;stands and exists from&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>. This is why it is called, \u201coral Torah.\u201d It is also why Moses was higher in every way than all other faithful prophets, as it is written, \u201cand I will give you.\u201d \u201cYou\u201d excludes the rest of the prophets, since Moses is a chariot to the&nbsp;<em>Daat<\/em>, because from him comes the oral Torah.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>93) \u201cNow the
