But because she sees Israel\u2019s desire to see her light she says, \u201cLook not upon me,\u201d meaning you will not be able to see me; \u201cLook not upon me\u201d because I am swarthy, since I am in the dark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>63) What is swarthy? Should it not have said \u201cBlack\u201d? Indeed, there are two kinds of darkness: 1) \u201cThat the sun has tanned me,\u201d that the sun,&nbsp;<em>ZA<\/em>, has parted from me, from shining in me and from looking at me. 2) \u201cMy mother&#8217;s sons were incensed against me, they made me keeper.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>64)&nbsp;<em>Sheshzaphtany<\/em>&nbsp;[that has tanned me] implies six, since&nbsp;<em>Sheshzaphtany<\/em>&nbsp;is made of&nbsp;<em>Shesh<\/em>&nbsp;[six]&nbsp;<em>Zaphtany<\/em>. This is so because when the sun\u2014<em>ZA<\/em>\u2014shines, it shines in six lights, in the six&nbsp;<em>Sefirot HGT<\/em>&nbsp;<em>NHY<\/em>. And when it leaves, all six lights leave. \u201cMy mother\u2019s sons\u201d are those that come from the side of harsh judgment to punish for the sins. \u201cWere incensed against me,\u201d as in, \u201cMy throat is dried\u201d [there is similarity of words and pronunciation in Hebrew]. It is written, \u201cTo our very necks we are pursued,\u201d since when Israel came to the exile, their hands were tied behind them and millstones were around their necks, and they could not open their mouths, as it is written, \u201cMy throat is dried.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>65) \u201cThey made me keeper of the vineyards,\u201d to go into exile and to keep the rest of the nations for Israel. \u201cBut I have not kept my own vineyard,\u201d for I cannot keep them as in the beginning. In the beginning, I was keeping my own vineyard, Israel, and from it, the rest of the vineyards\u2014which are the nations\u2014were kept.
