How does physical suffering lead to the emerging of spiritual desires and needs? What\u2019s the connection?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A:&nbsp;<\/strong>One comes to Kabbalah with the question, \u201cWhat is the sense of my life?\u201d Then, one begins to study, and draw the surrounding Light that activates the desire for the goal of Creation (and not for some imaginary \u201cspiritual spheres\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no difference in various kinds of suffering; the distinction is only external, in their raiment. They all exist due to the lack of Light in the desire.
