803) Rabbi Shimon said, \u201cArise from your sleep, Moses, for you and the patriarchs are called, \u2018They who sleep in the dust.\u2019 Until now you were engaging in Torah, as we learn, \u2018And sleep on the ground.\u2019 But on the day of first fruits, when you offer a new offering to the Lord, you are the first fruit of the Shechina<\/em>, and with your works, the Shechina<\/em> is renewed with the prayers of the patriarchs each day.\u201d Prayers correspond to \u201cThe fathers have corrected them.\u201d On the Shema<\/em> reading, where Moses said, \u201cHear, O Israel,\u201d and all who read the Shema<\/em> reading each day as though keep \u201cAnd you shall contemplate Him day and night.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

804) Indeed, with your prayer and your Shema<\/em> reading, the Shechina<\/em> is renewed before the Creator. This is why it is written, \u201cAnd you shall offer a new offering to the Lord,\u201d in prayers that are instead of offerings. And by which offerings, which are prayers, is she renewed? In Shavuot<\/em> [Feast of Weeks] in which there is the giving of Torah, and which is called \u201cthe fiftieth of the Omer [count].\u201d There are seven weeks in it, from the side of the one of whom it is written, \u201cSeven times a day I praise You,\u201d which is Malchut<\/em>, called \u201cbride,\u201d included in the seven Sefirot HGT<\/em> NHYM<\/em>, and included in Bina<\/em>, and she spreads through the five Sefirot HGT<\/em> NH<\/em> into fifty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

805) Yesod<\/em> is called Kol<\/em> [all], which is fifty in Gematria<\/em>. It consists of those fifty, too, HGT<\/em> NH<\/em>, each of which consists of ten. Malchut<\/em> is called Kalah<\/em> [bride], with the letters of Kol<\/em> Hey<\/em> [five], five Sefirot<\/em> that comprise fifty. They are all swallowed in fifty, Hochma<\/em>, upper Yod<\/em> is swallowed in fifty because five times ten are fifty, since Hey<\/em> is Bina<\/em>, Yod<\/em> is Hochma<\/em>, and there is Yod<\/em>–Hey<\/em> in Hochma<\/em>. When you multiply one with the other they are fifty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And there is Yod<\/em>–Hey<\/em> in Bina<\/em>, multiplying ten times Hey<\/em>, and they are fifty. It is the same count as Kol<\/em> [Chaf<\/em>–Lamed<\/em>] and the same count as Yam<\/em> [\u201csea,\u201d Yod<\/em>–Mem<\/em>], since Bina<\/em> is called \u201csea,\u201d which is fifty in the count, the sea of Torah. From Bina<\/em>, who is called \u201csea,\u201d the Torah will come forth, meaning ZA<\/em>. Her source is Keter<\/em>, Ein Sof<\/em>. The rest of the Sefirot HGT<\/em> NHYM<\/em> are named after her, seven seas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The count of Yam<\/em> [Yod<\/em>–Mem<\/em>, \u201csea\u201d] is fifty. It follows that in each there is fifty. Malchut<\/em> is called Yam Suf<\/em> [Red Sea, or lit. \u201cSea of the Reed (or End)\u201d], after the Sof<\/em> [end] of all the days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

806) Because each of the seven weeks is fifty, their offering is three tenths and two tenths, five tenths, which are five times ten, since each tenth is ten and five tenths are fifty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is written about it, \u201cAnd their offering is semolina mixed with oil, three tenths for the one bull, two tenths for the one buck, tenth, tenth for the one lamb, to the seven lambs.\u201d The seven lambs correspond to the verse, \u201cThey shall be seven whole weeks,\u201d which are seven Malchuts<\/em>, for Malchut<\/em> is called Sabbath, and each with its own six days, HGT<\/em> NHY<\/em>, which in addition to the day of the feast of Weeks they are fifty in Gematria<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
