12) \u201cTherefore thus says the Lord to the house of Jacob, who redeemed Abraham.\u201d Should it not have written, \u201cTherefore thus says the Lord, who redeemed Abraham\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
13) However, Jacob certainly redeemed Abraham because when Abraham fell into the furnace of fire of the Chaldeans, he was sentenced before the Creator, \u201cBy what merit would he be saved if he has no ancestral merit?\u201d said the Creator to the courthouse of above. \u201cHe would be saved thanks to his sons, since a son makes his father worthy.\u201d They said, \u201cBut Ishmael will come out of him.\u201d The Creator said, \u201cBut Isaac will come out of him, who will stretch out his neck to be slaughtered on the altar.\u201d They said, \u201cBut Esau will come out of Isaac.\u201d The Creator said, \u201cBut Jacob will come out of him, who is a complete throne and whose sons are all whole before Me.\u201d They said, \u201cIndeed, thanks to that, Abraham will be saved,\u201d as it is written, \u201cWho redeemed Abraham.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
14) It is written, \u201cNot now shall Jacob be ashamed, and not now will his face go pale,\u201d since when he sees his children, the work of My hands within him, they will sanctify My name. Who are \u201chis children, the work of My hands\u201d? They are Hanania, Mishael, and Azaria, who threw themselves into a burning fire in order to sanctify His name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot now will Jacob be ashamed.\u201d Why is Jacob mentioned here? After all, it is written, \u201cAnd among them were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hanania, Mishael, and Azaria\u201d? Thus, they are called \u201cthe children of Judah,\u201d so it should have been written, \u201cNot now will Judah be ashamed.\u201d What is, \u201cNot now will Jacob be ashamed\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
15) At the time when Hanania, Mishael, and Azaria were tied so as to drop them into the fire, each one raised his voice and spoke before all those nations, kings, and ministers. Hanania said, \u201cLord, it is not for me that I fear; what can man do to me? The Lord is for me as my helper; and I shall gaze upon them that hate me. …It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mishael started and said, \u201c\u2018And you, fear not, My servant Jacob,\u2019 says the Lord, \u2018for I am with you,\u2019 says the Lord, \u2018to save you, for I will destroy completely all the nations … but you I will not destroy completely.\u2019\u201d At that time, when the nations and the ministers heard the name, Jacob, they wondered and laughed mockingly about him placing his trust in Jacob. Azaria started and said, \u201cHear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
16) It is written, \u201cOne will say, \u2018I am for the Lord.\u2019\u201d This is Hanania, who said, \u201cThe Lord is for me, I will not fear.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd one will be called by the name of Jacob.\u201d This is Mishael, who said, \u201cDo not fear, My servant Jacob.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And one will inscribe with his hand to the Lord and will call by the name of Israel.\u201d This is Azaria, who said, \u201cHear O Israel, the Lord our God.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At that time the Creator gathered His household, the angels. He said to them, \u201cBy which word of those three words that they said will I save them?\u201d They started and said, \u201cAnd they will know that You, Your name is only the Lord, superior over the whole earth,\u201d that He would save them because they trusted in the Creator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
17) At that time the Creator said to the throne, Malchut<\/em>, \u201cMy throne, by which of those words that they said will I save those righteous?\u201d She said to Him, \u201cI will save them with the word that everyone mocked, \u201d meaning thanks to Jacob. \u201cNot now shall Jacob be ashamed, and not now will his face go pale,\u201d since they will see that they were saved by his merit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As Jacob\u2019s merit stood for Abraham in the fire, it will now stand for Hanania, Mishael, and Azaria, as it is written, \u201cThus says the Lord to the house of Jacob, who redeemed Abraham, not now will Jacob be ashamed, and not now will his face go pale,\u201d from the disgrace of the mockery that the nations and the ministers joked about him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 18) All those who joked about Jacob were burned in that fire, and a spark of fire killed them. Who saved Hanania, Mishael, and Azaria? It was because they were praying before the Creator and unified His name properly.
