210) \u201cThe voice of the Lord makes the deer calve and strips forests bare.\u201d It is read as \u201cdeer,\u201d but it is written \u201cdeer\u201d without a Vav<\/em> [in Hebrew]. This is the morning star [in Hebrew: morning doe (or deer)]. Another interpretation: the doe of the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At midnight, when the Creator enters the Garden of Eden to play with the righteous, that voice, ZA<\/em>, goes out and hurts all those does that surround the holy throne, Malchut<\/em>, as it is written, \u201cSixty mighty men around it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMakes the deer calve\u201d is as it is written, \u201cHis hand has generated the slant serpent.\u201d \u201cGenerated\u201d means that He created and strengthened. Likewise, \u201cMakes the deer calve\u201d means that He strengthens the deer, who are the sixty mighty men. \u201cAnd strips forests bare\u201d is as it is written, \u201cAnd dipped it in the honeycomb,\u201d and it is written, \u201cI ate my honeycomb with my honey.\u201d And ZA<\/em>, who is the voice of the Creator, nurses those sixty mighty men, called does, like a mother nursing her sons. This is why it is written, \u201cThe voice of the Lord makes the deer calve,\u201d nursing and sustaining them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is so because at midnight, the middle line awakens with the force of the Masach de<\/em> Hirik<\/em> in it to diminish the GAR<\/em> of the left and unify it with the right so as to be able to bestow the Hochma<\/em> in it. At that time, the Creator, the middle line, enters the Garden of Eden, Malchut<\/em>. For this reason, until midnight, before the middle line comes to diminish the GAR<\/em> of the left, all of Malchut\u2019s<\/em> doors are blocked because although there is illumination of Hochma<\/em> in them, they are blocked and cannot shine because the middle line has not yet included it with the right. This is why it illuminates only from midnight onward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the meaning of what is written, \u201cThe voice of the Lord,\u201d which is the middle line, \u201cmakes the deer calve,\u201d hurting them, reducing the GAR<\/em> in them in order to open the illumination of Hochma<\/em> in them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMakes the deer calve\u201d is as it is written, \u201cHis hand has generated the slant serpent.\u201d \u201cGenerated,\u201d since He creates the does, which are the left line in Malchut<\/em>, for He prepares and opens the left line so the Hochma<\/em> illuminates in it. This is regarded as though He creates the left. \u201cAnd strips forests bare\u201d is as it is written, \u201cIn the honeycomb,\u201d since the Kelim<\/em> de<\/em> Achoraim<\/em> that extend from the left line in Malchut<\/em> are called \u201cforests,\u201d as they are false trees, which do not bear fruit, and the Dinim<\/em> are in them. But as ZA<\/em> unites the right and left with one another, He opens the illumination of Hochma<\/em> in the left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It follows that He reveals the Hochma<\/em> in the forests. This is the meaning of \u201cAnd strips forests bare.\u201d The illumination of Hochma<\/em> that appears from those forests is called \u201choney,\u201d as it is written, \u201cIn the honeycomb,\u201d and as it is also written, \u201cI ate my honey with my honeycomb.\u201d And ZA<\/em>, the voice of the Creator, nurses those does like a mother nursing her sons, extending to them Hassadim<\/em>, where by clothing in these Hassadim<\/em> they can illuminate.
