297) It is written, \u201cThis is the ordinance of the Passover: no foreigner is to eat of it,\u201d and it is written, \u201cBut every man’s servant that is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then shall he eat of it.\u201d It is also written, \u201cA temporary resident and a hired servant shall not eat of it.\u201d And like the Passover, which is only meat to eat, and because it was implied in a holy matter, as it is written, \u201cAnd the Lord shall pass over the door,\u201d it is forbidden to let all those eat of it until they have been circumcised.
